Paper Collection Drive..!!

Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has...
                                                                          --Margaret Mead

The Crusader family has embarked on a mighty task of collecting 2.5 lakh rupees to purchase leather cutting equipment required by Dr.Bandorwalla Leprosy Hospital, Kondhwa, Pune. But even the mightiest of task can be accomplished through small steps of kindness.

This small step was taken in form of ‘Paper Collection Drive’ which was held on 15th August 2012 and 26th August 2012.  I truly believe this small stepping stone will definitely prove to be a milestone in our future efforts.

Volunteers from Crusaders divided themselves into teams and enthused across different parts of the Pune, covering areas like Vishalnagar, Aundh, Kothrud, PimpleSaudagar etc...  Our volunteers personally went to the residence of the known as well as the unknown people of the city. Puneites embraced this noble initiative and welcomed our volunteers with open hearts. The response from the people was extraordinary; in just two day the Crusaders team collected over 1300 kilos of paper and more than 5 kilos of plastic and glass bottles.

Volunteers are seldom paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are PRICELESS..!! Kudos to our volunteers for their magnanimous efforts.

As I mentioned above this is only a small stepping stone in our endeavour, the crusader team is planning for another paper collection drive in Pune. We would urge you to spread out the word across the city and also join us in the campaign.

The details of the next paper collection drive will be updated shortly, please follow us on  blog or face book profile for latest updates and initiatives.

Please join us in this initiative and be a reason for someone’s smile.

As it’s rightly said-

Many of us feel that they want to help the needy - in our own possible way, but in most cases we are not able to take the initiative due to work commitments, time constraints, lack of contacts and information. Today millions of Indians are in need of basic necessities like food, clothing, shelter and education which we are fortunate enough to be born with it.

This very thought of helping poor and needy led to the formation of small organization ‘ Crusaders – Soldiers of Humanity ‘.The idea behind starting this was “Giving back more to life than you take out of it”.
Established on 5th April 2012 the association grew from a small group to over 300 enthusiasts in just a small span of 3 months. If we can imagine the future, we can create it, if we can create that future, world will be better place to live in.

The organization collects a minimum of 20rs per month; additional contributions are also welcomed. Charity activities like helping orphanages, old age homes and funding smaller NGO’s according to their requirements are done every month.
The monthly activities since the foundation of group
·        Collection from May-2012 was utilized to buy Geometry boxes to help children of an orphanage St. Crispin's Home.
·        Helped the Govt. School in Wakad to build a small computer lab and computer tables from June-2012 contribution.
·        With July-2012 contribution an orphanage - Chandraprabha Charitable Trust, Karjat – to buy food & essentials, and games and Study equipment.

The association aims to venture out new avenues to help the needy people and would like you to join their Crusade of making a difference in an indigent’s life.
So if you are interested to join this noble cause please write to us crusader.ngo@gmail.com
All your personal details will always be kept confidential.
Join Crusaders and be part of the change, as it’s rightly said
